If you're passing through my corner of DeviantArt, which I claimed two years ago and then left fallow, stay for a moment and we can talk about something that I've noticed in my cumulative four days of experience here.
I came (back) to this site in search of a community of writers. My hope was that there were people here who, regardless of skill level, were primarily motivated by a desire to improve. I make no bones about the fact that I have no natural talent for poetry but to quote my CV, I'm "eager to learn". I found a dead cicada last week. Not sure what to do with it yet. It's sitting in a cup beside my bed. First time I saw a cicada up close was in a drawing class in high school. I can't find the drawing I did using the cicada.I hope it's somewhere safe :S Eughhh sucks to lose work. It must be around here somewhere...
